Shanghai World Expo 2010: The Ice Cube
The International Polar Foundation was invited to be part of the EU-Belgian pavilion at the World Expo 2010, taking place from May 1st to October 31st in Shanghai. A LED-lit giant ice cube will draw visitors into the world of Polar Regions, polar science and climate change, showcasing Belgium’s involvement in climate-related sciences.

The InBev-Baillet Latour Antarctica Prize 2009: Call for Proposals
The InBev-Baillet Latour Fund, and the International Polar Foundation (IPF) working in close collaboration with the Belgian Federal Science Policy (Belspo), the Fonds Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek (FWO) and the Fonds de la Recherche Scientifique (F.R.S. - FNRS), announce the opening of the 2009 Call for Proposals for the second InBev-Baillet Latour Antarctica Prize.

Class Zero Emission
Class Zero Emission offers students across Belgium the opportunity to learn about the breathtaking world of the Arctic and Antarctic. This interactive pedagogical workshop was initiated by the International Polar Foundation, with the support of the Governments of Belgium's Flemish and French communities.

Princess Elisabeth Antarctica
In 2004, the Belgian government decided to support the IPF's initiative to design and construct a new "Zero Emission" research station in Antarctica. The Princess Elisabeth Station became operational during the International Polar Year.
