BE-POLES kick-off meeting was a success

IPF organised a Be-Poles kick-off meeting at the Belgian Federal Science Policy Office. 23 people participated in the discussion about the different tasks IPF will coordinate during the next two years, including the website, brochure, newsletter, communication office, IPY, fellowship, workshop, training sessions for teachers and science weeks.

BELARE 2004 : Antarctic site survey team arrived in the Sor Rondane Mountains

Prospecting for a site for new Antarctic summer station in the foothills of the Sör Røndane mountains began on Saturday 27 November. The team split into two parts, seven members heading towards the targeted "Usteinen Nunatak" area, the other two for the old Japanese "Asuka" station.
