The IPF-UK's newly appointed UK based trustees had their first meeting with Jean de Pomereu, Managing Director on Thursday 8th of September. The newly appointed trustees are Meredith Hooper, Stephen Cox and Sir Andrew Burns.

New Executive Director at IPF

Thierry Touchais has joined the International Polar Foundation in the newly created role of Executive Director. He is a graduate engineer from the Ecole Centrale de Lyon and the University of Berkeley and holds an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Johan Berte visits the Institut Paul Emile Victor (IPEV)

While the base's conceptual design moves on IPF proceeds with visiting a number of Polar institutes. IPEV, the French institute, was intersting to visit because it has a long history of construction and logistics in the Antarctic.
