Belgian Polar Platform

Early this year BE-POLES launched the "Belgian Polar Platform". This website acts as a major step towards improved coordination within the Belgian Polar Science Community and serves as a communication tool with the public.

The International Polar Foundation and BELSPO maintained this website on a regular base, posting information about polar science in Belgium, with the help of Belgian scientists providing material.

The major polar research groups are presented on the website, together with summaries of over 50 projects and a similar number of Belgian scientists' CVs. Information is also given about past and ongoing polar campaigns.

The site is regularly updated with the latest news. In particular, the Belgian Antarctic Research Station has been featured as well as Belgian contributions to the International Polar Year.
