IPF participates in the “Environment and Sustainable Development Day” in Nice

This one day event was organised for the 8th consecutive year by the University of Nice Sophia Antiopolis. This year, the "Journée de l'Environnement et du Développement Durable" was focused on rediscovering the concept of sustainable development 13 years after Rio and what it means and implies in today's society. Gauthier Chapelle, IPF scientific officer, was invited by Pr Michel Popoff to give the keynote speech on the links between climate change and sustainable development.

This opening speech was followed throughout the day by various conferences, workshops and activities related to the theme of sustainable development in order to demonstrate that there is more to this concept than just the protection of environment or a marketing term.

The day ended with a ceremony for the retirement of Pr Michel Popoff, founder of the Master's degre in "Gestion de l'Environnement et Développement Durable", one of the very first interdisciplinary degrees in this area in France.
