Arctic Futures Symposium 2010

In conjunction with the Aspen Institute and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, the International Polar Foundation hosted the first Arctic Futures Symposium in Brussels on the 14th and 15th of October 2010.
As an opportunity for various stakeholders in the Arctic to come together to discuss their needs and positions as well as share their know-how in this vitally important region of the world, the symposium brought together high-level representatives of the Arctic Council countries and the EU as well as other interested parties.
The conference took place at the European Parliament in Brussels, thanks to the support of The Greens / EFA

The Arctic Futures Symposium had a number of key speakers including HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, Herman van Rompuy, Maria Damanaki and Isabelle Durant.

Arctic Futures 2011
The 2010 event brought together a talented group of policy makers, researchers and experts in Polar issues from around the world, to debate and share ideas and knowledge, with the ultimate aim of promoting better understanding and collaboration. The 2011 event will also offer interesting debates and lectures on the future of the Arctic region.
