A donor can choose to become a "partner" by helping the IPF as a whole or by sponsoring a specific project. Some of our partners chose to help us in the form of services or equipment.

STIB / MIVB

STIB, the largest Belgian urban public transport company, serves the 19 communes of the Brussels Capital Region as well as 10 outlying communes. It provides transport to a population of over 1,100,000 inhabitants and to thousands of commuters. The STIB's 3 metro lines, 18 tram lines and 47 bus lines transported over 277.5 million people in 2007.

Comfort, punctuality and speed are important, but the aesthetics and quality of life in the city are other determining factors to have increased the attractiveness of public transport. STIB has concluded a partnership with the IPF in its contribution to fight CO₂ emissions and climate change.
SWIFT

SWIFT is a member-owned cooperative that provides the communications platform, products and services to connect over 8,500 banking organisations, securities institutions and corporate customers in more than 200 countries.

SWIFT enables its users to exchange automated, standardised financial information securely and reliably, thereby lowering costs, reducing operational risk and eliminating operational inefficiencies.

SWIFT also brings the financial community together to work collaboratively to shape market practice, define standards and debate issues of mutual interest.
The Edmond & Benjamin de Rothschild Foundations

The tradition and guiding principles of the Edmond and Benjamin de Rothschild Foundations, handed down from generation to generation, have always rested on an absolute commitment to solidarity, social responsibility and the advancement of knowledge. Education is first and foremost their mandate. It benefits the individual and the community, the material and the spiritual, the present and the future. It begins and continues with the sharing of information, values and experience. In the sciences, in the arts and in business.

Amongst the undertakings to which the Edmond and Benjamin de Rothschild Foundations have been committed to for many years, safeguarding the planet and supporting new ideas have been prime objectives. This twin vocation is also shared by the International Polar Foundation which has therefore been supported by the Edmond and Benjamin de Rothschild Foundations ever since its creation.
United World Colleges

United World Colleges (UWC) is unique. It is the only global educational movement that brings together students from all over the world -selected on personal merit, irrespective of race, religion, politics and the ability to pay- with the explicit aim of fostering peace and international understanding.

UWC was founded in 1962 and originated in the ideas of German educationalist Kurt Hahn. Hahn believed that much could be done to overcome hostility and conflict if young people from different nations, races and religions could be brought together to learn from each other.

Today there are twelve United World Colleges, each with its own distinctive character, but sharing a common mission and values. In the turbulent world of the twenty-first century, these values are as relevant today as they were in 1962 - perhaps more so.
