This coming December 1st and 2nd, the 17th annual Arctic Futures Symposium happen at EFTA House in Brussels' EU Quarter.

This year the event will focus on Arctic governance and following the three pillars of the EU’s forthcoming updated Joint Communication on the Arctic: environment, sustainable development, and security, preparedness and resilience.

The exact details of the programme will be decided after the summer. As the details of the programme emerge, they will be published on the Arctic Futures Symposium website, along with each speaker as they confirm.

Side events are also planned for this year, including a scenarios workshop, a world café and the ever popular Arctic Shorts film evening. Details on each of these events will be published in the coming months.
