The IPF team hard at work unloading cargo from the ship!

The convoy of Prinoths and sledges has arrived at the coast and will start unloading cargo from the ship.

This is one of the drill holes the NISAR team from UC Irvine made on the King Baudoin Ice Shelf. A CDT device was lowered into the hole to monitor salinity and temperature of the ocean below the ice shelf as a function of depth.

Here's the new automatic weather station (AWS) tha was pre-assembled by Simon Steffen and installed by Alain Hubert, Tim Grosrenaud, and Eric Rignot and his team from UC Irvine at the edge of the King Baudouin Ice Shelf. It will monitor air temperature, humidity and other parameters that could affect how fast the ice shelf melts.
