An old pair of pants and jacket were on display from the time of the Belgica expedition. 

There were a number of interactive screens that visitors could use at their own pace to learn about the research and other facets of work and life on the Antarctic continent today. 

The Belgica ship was frozen into the Antarctic sea ice and the crew had to spend months in the dark and freezing conditions before they were able to free the ship again and sail back to Europe. 

The MAS museum had many old maps on display. 

There were over 45,000 people that visited the MAS exhibition in the 4.5 months that it was open to the public!

The first 12 members of the 2024-25 BELARE team arrive in Antarctica at Ultima Air Base. From here, they will take a feeder flight to reach the Princess Elisabeth Antarctica 400 km away.

There was a display size model of the Belgica ship, the first ever international research based expedition to over-winter in Antarctica. 

There were a number of old artifacts on display that were part of the Belgica expeiditon and today are over 125+ years old.
